This lecture was originally scheduled for the 22nd March at the University of Bath at Sion Hill in Bath.
There has been considerable interest in this talk, there are many connections in the region with the industrial revolution and the fanfare created by the Great Exhibition of 1851and in particularIsambard Kingdom Brunel, who was indeed a member of the selection panel for the design of what became the Crystal Palace.
The lecture will now be given on Tuesday 30th Octoberat the Brunel Institute at the SS Great Britain in Bristol.
